Post Guideline Update

April 17th, 2007 by Tony

We have noticed and increasing number of completed assignments with a reference and link to other companies sites.

The most common one is inviting people to review their post at another website which is usually a competitor of ours. :)

Please do not include this in any post for payu2blog.

Thanks! email me any questions etc..

That would mean if it’s in our template, remove it and manually insert it into non-pu2b entries. I guess it’s fair.

I’ve been known to let this one slip by me occasionally, but for those that run movabletype it is possible to add this into your individual entries and exclude it from posts in a certain category. I’ve got directions up at http://www.shadowscope.com/archives/2007/02/excluding_items_by_category_in_movabletype.php

I use the other category to exclude things as MT allows entries to have more than one category. The biggest thing for me is to remember to put the post in that category (so if that screenshot is me you can beat me now as I did just find one post with that and fixed it).

I know that if I were an advertiser I wouldn’t want someone else’s ads appearing in the middle of mine.

On another note, is it just me or is the text in the comments here black on a dark gray background? I have to select all the text in order to be able to read them.

Richard… Thanks for the feedback it doesn’t look that way on my monitor but if it does on yours it probably does on others … we’ll take care of it

Yes! it’s kinna crazy to do such thing…but i guess, their an honest mistakes all the time though.

That kind of funny but like everyone said, it wouldn’t be nice to do it especially for the advertiser.

I don’t know. This is the only company I work with that’s had a problem with that badge. I used a WordPress Plugin to insert it that didn’t permit choosing what post to put it in. But it looks tacky not to have it in every post, so I just disabled the link completely.
